Loads of Love 1

Here you can find a couple of cards I made some time ago, using the same stamp set "Loads of Love".

This is very versatile set and can be used for both cardmaking and scrapbooking. Not to mention gifts!

It is just perfect for upcoming Valentine's Day :)

To make cards that i showed you in the previous post I used some Designer Series Paper, while for those cards here I used Watercolour Wonder Crayons with Aqua Painter.

I really like watercoloring. It allows you to get almost unlimited range of colour shades.

I don't know if you have noticed but my favourite color combination for Valentine's Day cards this year are pink and brown. For me it makes perfect match. Don't you think? :)

Loads of Love!

Yesterday, as I was searching Internet, I have found a new technique which of course I had to try myself straight away.

This technique is called Paper Piecing and I've learned it from Vanessa Webb. You can find its description here.

Of course you can use this technique with any other stamp, but I think "Loads of Love" set is just perfect for this purpose.

On the attached pictures you can see what I've come with using this technique.

Hope you like it :)

If you have any questions or would like to purchase products to make such cards - let me know gabriela.jandura@gmail.com .

Till next time, Happy Crafting!

Bee Mine

Here is another card I made using technique called quilling. I did talk about this technique some time ago - you can find that post under the label Quilling, in the menu on the left hand side of the blog.

To be honest, to create the pattern - in this case bees and flower - it is really not a big deal, but to make the wording - it takes time :) It is not impossible, but just requires more time than other things. But I was not in rush, so here you have it :)

Just wonder how many of you have ever tried this technique? And how many of you really like it? And how many of you are patient enough to do this? :)

I have to say I was so fascinated with this technique at the beginning, that for some time I did nothing else just quilling! Then I have discovered that I have a lot of fun using other techniques as well.

So now I just use all the techniques I know :) It all depends just on what I feel like doing at the very moment, and then I choose quilling tool or stamps, or embossing tool, or punches... And then I go with the flow, using my creativity :)

Whatever technique you use - Happy crafting!

All-Year Fun - Valentine's Day

Look how quick I am :) Here it is: another card I made using the All-Year Fun stamp set! Well, I keep my promises, so here you have it.

Again, almost the same products used for this card as for Birthday and Christmas one. This time I have also used: Real Red stampin' pad, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8'' circle punch, 1'' circle punch, white gel pen, red grosgrain ribbons (1/4'' and 5/8'') and a stamp with the heart.

You can't see it on this picture, but I put the smallest circle (white one, with the red heart stamped on it) on so called dimensional, which added some dimension to my card - it is not just flat.

I called it card for Valentine's Day, but this is obviously not the only occasion you can give this card for. Any time you want to express your love or sympathy you can use this little heart stamp from the All-Year Fun set to make your card. My intention was just to show you that through the year (All-Year) we have many occasions we can use this stamp set for. I just wanted to shows you how useful it really is.

For other occasions - I will publish pictures of my creations as I make them, to give you some inspiration. So check back often :)

And I promise, I will try to use other than only red and white colours to make my cards :) For some reason I just love the combination of these colours now :) Well, there is a theory which explains our preferences in choosing colours, but about this - maybe another time :)

Happy crafting!
